This historic community, nestled in the Hudson Highlands, is less than an hour from midtown Manhattan by car, but centuries away from New York's hectic lifestyle.  Putnam Valley, with a population of approximately 10,000 people, includes several lovely lakeside communities, the renowned Clarence Fahnestock State Park which has many miles of hiking and riding trails.

There are currently several review board and committee vacancies.  The Board of Assessment Review has three openings, the Commission for the Conservation of the Environment has one opening, and the Lake Oscawana Advisory Committee has two openings.  If you are interested, please contact the Town Supervisor, Robert Tendy.
