The Cold Spring Fire Company No.1 would like to invite the community to attend our annual block party and fireworks display at Mayor's Park on August 30, 2008. This year's event will feature food, refreshments and live music - and for the third year in a row, a massive fireworks display framed by the Hudson River and the Valley. The Cold Spring Fire Company in connection with the Town of Philipstown Recreation Department is pleased to announce the graduation of the 6th annual Junior Firefighter Academy on July 26th. The commencement was the final step for fifty young members (ages 8-13) of the Philipstown community - in their education in the field of fire-fighting and EMS. The commencement ceremonies were held in the community room of our Lady of Loretta Church in Cold Spring, having out-grown the confounds of the Cold Spring Fire Company, and was attended by over one-hundred parents, fire / emt personnel and community members. This year's academy was a great success and we look forward to next year! |

The Cold Spring Fire Company No. 1 is located in the Village of Cold Spring, Putnam County New York. We proudly protect 3500 people living in an area of 5 square miles. We operate out of 1 station and 1 sub-station which protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We have an ISO rating of 5. The Cold Spring Fire Company has a total of 125 men and woman and are led by Chief Daniel Valentine. We respond on approximately 150 calls per year providing fire protection to the residents of the Villages of Cold Spring, Nelsonville and the Philipstown/Cold Spring Fire District.
