Sunday, November 16, 2008, at 6:30 am, the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Dept was requested to respond to Bryant Pond Road and Peekskill Hollow Road for a reported vehicle fire. Captain Angstadt was the first arriving officer on scene and confirmed a fully involved car fire in front of 56 Bryant Pond Road. Saturday, November 15, 2008, at 1:41 pm the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Dept was dispatched to the area of 783 Route 301 for a 1 car personal injury auto accident (PIAA). Injured Hiker Suffers Ankle Injury

Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at approximately 10:30 am the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Sunken Mine Road for a hiker in the woods with an ankle injury. The fire department responded with their rescue truck (24-6-1) followed by their utility (24-8-1) pulling the ATV (24-8-3). New Apparatus Training

On Sunday morning, November 9th, the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department drilled with their recently delivered engine (24-2-2). The state of the art apparatus was built by Marion Body Works in Marion Wisconsin. This new addition replaces a 1988 Pierce Engine that has served the department for just over 20 years.
