Comic artist to attend meeting for scout pack. Lake Carmel Cub Scout Pack 1 will have an open meeting for boys 1st - 4th grade who are interested in joining scouting. It will be held on Friday Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Lake Carmel Fire Department on route 52. Current scouts will receive recognition for their efforts over the summer as well as fun activities for all. The theme for the month is "adventures in books," and special guest Pete Hamboussi - a resident of Carmel who works as a comic artist with D.C. comics - will come and talk to the scouts. The kids are also encouraged to come to the meeting dressed as their favorite superhero.
